Testing for memories.

Bromptons in Wiltshire July 2025

This really is a test post to work out how to post pictures.
Back in July I organised another Brompton Camp at Yellowtail Campsite near Hilperton. The idea being a group of us would camp and enjoy a day ride over the weekend.

I'm always slightly worried when organising in case no one comes despite having done this  afew years now. This time we had old faces and new and a good group.

It's pretty hard to work out which pictures are which on the computer. The top is Trowbridge, the bottom is New Forest on a different camp!

Let's try again.

This is the 7 of us lined up the obligatory Brompton shot.

Our campsite. Due to physical issues I drove to Trowbridge this time having in previous years cycled the 27 miles from Bristol.

We headed along the rough canal towpath on our way to Lacock. Lacock is lovely but I didn't take any pictures (or at least can't find them). My main memory is the sheer number of wasps!
Geoff led the way as this is his home turf but he did try to persuade us to go back a different way as it only 'had 3 little hills'! Knowing Geoff and hills we went back the way we came.

Quiet country lanes and a herd (?) of Bromptons.

Sunday. Busy day

Celyn started the day all happy and kicky. Was awake at 3am the minx and then she got up at 7. Clearly she runs on duracell or something as the child never needs any sleep!
Emma and her husband came over at lunchtime with their little girl Esme. Celyn was facsinated by seeing a little blond girl. Esme was here to try out celyn's walking frame and take it away. It was a success. A bit of adjustment with various allen keys and in goes Esme. She pushes herself backwards the  forwards which is more than the ginger one ever managed. So its now hers :-)
Emma left me some biscuits which i am busy attatching to my hips. Celyn got stiff and cross in the afternoon and despite painkillers is still dystonic. now we have a name for these episodes. 'Dystonic storms'. Sadly there is no cure, just midazolan and painkillers to try and mitigate the terrible muscle spasms. Poor Celyn.
Have just emailed ed Miliband over the nappy campaign. can you believe there's not been a peep from his office after my last email? Even ShineyDave keeps in touch more often than that.
